If you are totally sure they are not too wet, I would just keep a close eye on them for right now.

I had a boob egg (it had more of the "imperfection" than your eggs do) that hatched. It hatched TWINS!!!! If also had some mold, though mine was white. Tiny, little white specs.

Personally, I'm not sure of the difference between green and white mold. I hope somebody more knowledgeable chimes in to help you, I just wanted to say, don't lose hope!

Also, sorry for being impatient. This is only my second clutch, worried mommy syndrome is in full gear! I will see about the light diffuser. Is there anywhere I can get it that isn't $30 for a huge sheet of it?

I *think* when we got our sheet it was only about $12. The sheet was about 6 feet x 3 feet, maybe slightly smaller. We still have tons left and have cut out enough squares of it to do about 8 egg bins. I also double-layer it, so that is quite a bit. Maybe you don't need a full sheet now, but it may come in useful if you have somewhere to store it!

Oh, good to know there are places cheaper. Thank you!

On review, I took the advice that the vermiculite was too wet, I took the eggs out and dried as much of the substrate out as I could and there is much less mold growth today (none on one of them, just a tad of white fluff on the other). Thank you! I candled all of them today and everyone was wiggling.
