One thing I hate is when they poo in their water bowl. NASTY!

soap is ok to use, infact that's how I mite check my animals when they first come in a soak in dish soap, I just use a small amount but it keeps the bugs from being able to climb on the snakes nose or whatever part is surfacing. and a good clean soak after a nasty poo isn't such a bad thing either can you imagen not having legs and having to roll in your own feces..can we say salmonella lol there are several unconventional and people product tricks that work well for our reptiles, just make sure it has been proven useful before you go trying random things lol
