Best first boa?

Thanks for the feedback i am still stuck between the two! I like the dumerils personality but i like the hogg island color and look. More pictures would be great to help me decide!!

Just a quick chime in: Hog Islands are spelled with only one "g" - the double "g" is technically incorrect :P

My bf has a Dum himself, maybe he'll come and post pics of his girl if he sees this thread.

Who has dums? I want a pair. PM me please!

My first boa was a female BCI. While I have never regretted that for a single minute and love all my BCIs and BCOs, my Dumerils is one of my favorites. She is the sweetest baby ever and has the most amazing colors and patterns. The personality of the Dums and their ease of care make them my #1 choice to recommend for a first time boa. Dumerils are highly underrated snakes.....

Hogs are nice too and as someone else said, you really can't go wrong with either one. I would suggest that you try to attend an expo and see if you can handle each before making up your mind. :gj:
