Got it!!! I get paid Friday so that's definately #1 on my list come Friday morning. Till then I'll add more "homemade" hides. I prefer naturalistic looks but homemade will have to work for now.

Is your UTH being regulated by anything?

Overall your cage temps are low. Try to get the hot side between 88-92 and the cool side between 78-82 degrees.

A 50 gallon tank is actually very large for a BP that weighs 300 grams. It should be ok, but it means that good hides are even more important.

It's not but as far as heat from it alone goes I can barely feel the heat through the substrate... Thay's why I use the lamps too.

So overall, I need more hides, higher heat, digital thermometer, thermostat, and we should be good. Right???

    Yes.

    How thick is the substrate?

This thread has links to good thermostats and thermometers. Stay away from the junk sold in pet stores:

About half an inch. Maybe 3/4 of an inch or a little more in spots.

Heating pads can go from ok to way too hot in a matter of hours. Until you have a thermostat keep a close eye on the substrate temperature as well as the temperature of the glass floor of the tank directly over the UTH
