Thanks for all the help guys. What would you suggest for insulation on the sides? I just bought a hydro farm thermostat thermometer for the uth and im going to hook my ceramic infrared up to my zoo med temp/humidity regulator to regulate the ambient temp. Im going to try the insulation before I go for the 100w or 150w infrared.

Well what are you using for the top of the enclosure? Is it mesh? If so, it will help to cover up about 50% of it with saran wrap and/or a moist towel - this will also help to keep the humidity up.

As far as what to use to insulate goes, you can use anything you'd like that has some insulating properties and would not be toxic to your snake of course. Some ideas off the top of my head are one of those thick decorative backgrounds, a towel (as mentioned by TheGreatStevearino), maybe cut up one of those sunshades that go in the windshield of a car, styrofoam board.... Lots of options here, just use your imagination and choose something that's aesthetically pleasing to you.
