what scale to buy?

Mine i got from bed bath and beyond. It goes up to 11lbs. Does grams from 1g-? I never had a peoblem with it and love it but i just wish it had a bowl on it so i didnt have to use one of mine.

Unless you are a breeder any scale will work as long as it has a range that is acceptable 5gm or less to 5000gm or so. What is the most important thing is it has good repeatability. If you take the same object measure it turn off the scale then on again and measure the same object it should be within a degree or two. It doesn't matter if it reads 400 when it is actually 409 or something as long as it repeats the results. If you are planning on breeding I would suggest an accurate scale, when you tell a client a weight you know that weigh it spot on. Breeders should be concerned with accuracy better than a kitchen scale.

I have that exact one, only it's labeled under a different brand.
It works great! I use it to measure the weight of my corn snake and it's spot on :)
