Yep, no big deal. As others have said, just keep them from getting cold and they'll do fine. I have brought snakes along with me many times over the past decade or so with no ill effects. You can bag them, or you can put them in a "carrier" cage which consists of a miniature enclosure with either fresh bedding or some of their own from their regular enclosure.
Stress is the biggest concern with the latter option, but I generally only bring along my more tolerant snakes, so I have never had any real issues with either method (knock on wood).

[helpful hint: when the former owner assures you that the Boamaster cage with the 7'+ BCI inside really doesn't need that 'lost' lock because she never tried to get out before, ignore him..especially if it's an hour's ride home in the dark. nobody likes "surprises" showing up under the driver's seat]
