    My ratties get a lot of table scraps along with their lab block. I will also make some delicious scrambled eggs with cheese, ham, turkey, milk on a piece of bread as a plate for them as a treat or when they need a boost. I will also soak Ensure (or generic) with lab block so they don't spill it. They love it and it really helps them pick up weight.

    I wait 24 hours to mess with mom/babies but I work in the room without worry. My favorite trick for nursing moms that start to look worn out is soaking the lab block in Ensure(I heard they love strawberry but mine REALLY go for vanilla) and they gobble it. They also will go crazy for yogurt(plain or vanilla generally since that's what I like).
