I know, but the guy doesn't care how many people have told him it's a burn waiting to happen. It's not even a fluourescent, which tend to put off very little heat.

I know exactly who you're talking about Marla. It is frustrating! He thinks just because he's not seen his snake try to get to the light it never does or will. The light and the height also concerns me. I know how clutzy they can be and for a snake to drop from the top of his cage to the bottom.....ouch!

Here's my cage pic (I've actually done a bit of rearranging with the deco, but you get the gist):

here is my set-up... at least until I get my AP cage :) :) I called last weds they said it would be about a week or two b/c of a materials shortage that was recently worked out. I'll post new pics when it arrives! :) Oh and the humidifier is no longer there and the cage isn't in a closet ... but you get the gist.

Yes, the height and substrate and other factors bother me too, but the unshielded bulb bothers me the most. And he asks for feedback every time! Grrr.

OK, enough of that. I LOVE your enclosure. :D

Thank you! I'm actually going to move my Mexican Black Kingsnake into this enclosure and get a 48x24x18 boaphile for my BP - I think he'll really love me then.

I have such wonderful plans for my BPs new cage - I just hope it all comes together. I'm so excited! I'll be sure to post pics when it's all done......if it looks good that is.

I am sure it will. I love seeing the creativity of you and the other forum members in the housing setups. I have some ideas churning in the back of my head for possible setups after my move is done and I can start to think about things like that. :)
