Oh okay, I thought you had moved cross country since you said 1500 miles and your location said WA, I thought maybe you moved out here my way :) we are at Ft. Bragg NC. Best of luck with the rest of your snakes... I dread the day we have to move all of ours!

You are indeed a terrible terrible person. Daring to sleep while travelling, why, the nerve. You probably should have any snakes much less a psuedo-dog. Some people just shouldn't have pets...

However, you are not one of those some people who shouldn't be having pets. I can't see anything you did that wasn't right and proper, so don't beat yourself up over it. It's a bummer, no doubt of that, but it's not like you didn't do everything you could every step of the way.

One thing though, if you want to say you have a dog, you actually should have a dog.

It's a terrible thing to loose your babies. Me and my boyfriend are moving in march. Luckily only 15 miles away. I can't imagine 1500 miles. I hope you feel better soon. You have a little on coming, congrats on that. And congrats on your doggie eating again XD

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss Robin. If it can happen to you then it can happen to anyone. You're a top notch keeper. Thanks for sharing this as a warning to everyone else. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help moving forward. You guys are good people and my friends.

    Regards,

    I'm sorry for your losses.
You did all you can do in that sort of situation. It's tough traveling with that many animals. Don't blame yourself.
Good to hear that your dog is doing better.

Oh wow, it's so unfortunate to have something like that happen but what can you do except move forward. Just one of those mistakes that anyone can make under the right circumstances and at the very least, the rest of your collection made it safe and sound!
Since I plan on moving up to Washington/Oregon in the next year or two, I'll definitely bear this in mind when transporting my critters.

I really hope things pick up for you and you all settling in nicely!

I don't think anyone in their right mind would attack you. We are human and we all make mistakes. Some just don't realize how attached I can be to a snake (or two). But people here understand. I am very sorry for your losses and highly appreciate your willingness to share your experience with all of us. That's what these forums are all about. Everyone starts a beginner and they learn along the way with the help, support, and god-like patience of those who came before us who are willing to guide us and freely give to others their valuable experiences. These types of lessons and experiences are extremely valuable to our community...So I thank you for taking the time to share this with us...

AND I also thank you (and ALL military personnel) for the sacrifices you make each and every day to ensure we have the freedoms we have...

I am very sorry this happened to you. It's a terrible thing no matter how you look at it. Just to clarify for me, did the rack get too hot or too cold? I'm a little fuzzy on that. I know overheating can kill quickly, even more so than cold I believe.

I wish you all the best in your new home, and I hope that the ones you still have offer you some comfort for the ones you lost. Truthfully it will probably only make it worse, but I hope it helps in some small way.
