Last one - comparison of growth rate - this is a 50% SD Kalatoa Tiger het albino hatched August 2012 by Travis Kubes. A dime in both shots. I'll redo this again soon. She's growing about as fast as my mainland . . . some super dwarfs just grow when given the opportunity.

My females are all juveniles. I have 1 adult 50% that is around 6 years old that I showed. My Anery Male is also about maxed out for what I expect and will be ready to breed this season with my Platinum once she gets a little more size. There is plenty of variation out there with Super Dwarfs. Check out Travis Kubes youtube channel for vids of him pulling eggs off his adult 50% SD tiger girl who is the mother of my girl. shes around 8-9 ft and healthy as can be.

@Robbiescornfield F2 may stay smaller - it's really hard to guess. I'd be prepared for the larger size of the parents for a good probable grounds and then be happy when they stay smaller if you are wanting smaller.

Dwarf retics can and do stay small but only when they are kept under natural conditions - food heavy at times, and then light at times. This simulates how the conditions are on the islands from which that were exported originally, hitting peaks of food during peaks of bird activities. But still with Dwarfs, most have crosses done to them in order to get morph blood in there this causes them to be larger. The mom of my purple dwarf was 14' and I expect her to get every bit of that. The dad was around 11'. The mom of my genetic stripe het albino dwarf was a 50% Seslayar at 12' and dad was 75% seslayar at 10'. This girl should stay around 10-11' maxed out.

I don't have many pics. Mine are almost impossible to photo by myself. They are quick moving and like to get out and about and explore. This video shows them pretty well. My male is around 5' and the female right over 5'. They are full grown and eat small rats.

After watching this I don't really want one anymore. That snake is WAY too active for my liking. They're still really cool looking though. I want something bigger but slower moving.

EDIT: almost reminded me of a corn, milk, or kingsnake. Thats the main reason i don't like them. Too fast and squirmy.

They move quickly for awhile. They do slow down eventually but they are active snakes. I can't photograph them by myself and my girlfriend isn't super comfortable around them. My brother filmed that clip last time. I need to update the video but I need two people that don't mind the movement.

I don't think they scare me so much as annoy me. I wouldn't want a snake that i find annoying bc that wouldn't be fair to the snake lol. :p

To be fair - my pure SD is very squirmy and flighty as well. You can put him in a tub on the ground to clean his cage and two seconds later he will be gone if you aren't watching him. However, anything and everything else that I have that is a mix of SD and Dwarf blood is extremely laid back and less flighty. With the only real exception being my adult male 50% SD Tiger who can be flighty for the first couple of minutes on the day before feeding when he knows its getting close to feeding time. Other than those instances though, they handle very, very well.
