What we consider to be "pure breed" dogs, still share genetic material with tons of other "pure breed" dogs. I don't have personal experience with the doggy DNA tests, but I have spoken to people with quality, registered dogs with a full family history whose results made them look like mutts. My guess is rat/jack russell/fox terrier, chihuahua, dachshund mix of some sort.

Haha yeah. But the reason it doesn't work is because there isn't a specific set genetic markers that are unique to one breed. Some gene markers are shared amongst many breeds making it terribly inaccurate. Dogs are all one species and the breeds are basically different morphs. So it would be incredibly difficult.

Lol. Trust me I wont be wasteing my money on a test. I just wanted some other opinions.
She definetly shows chihuahua and dachshund personality traits. Her face and coat are chihuahua. Her ears and long body make me think dachshund, and her love to chew and dig also the white on her face make me think terrier. :)
She is a loveable lil mutt.

Kinda reminds me of this dog. Some kind of chihuahua mix. But they have similarities.

I would also guess maybe italian greyhound or whippet in there too. Explains the bone structure.

To me she looks just like my friend's Chihuahua/Jack russell terrier mutt. She's cute!

True. I know multiple people who have gotten one and then got another to compare results and they are completely different. I mean its interesting, but who cares what breed your dog is? Its not worth the money to me. Im all for guessing but not DNA test. Its just another way for the vet to make some money off of you.
