I don't think it's necessarily a spider thing, more an individual personality thing (kind of like people). Some just take more time to settle in than others, and if you're a young little snake that hasn't seen much, everything's probably pretty scary still. I have one that took 3 months to stop hissing at me, and one that was a cuddlebug straight out the gate, BP's have done wonders for teaching me patience. :)
