The colour of the hair can differ from the food item due to digestion or simply not being passed as quickly as digestible materials. Hair doesn't digest, it just gets compacted and passed on through. My GUESS would be either handling or cooling caused it to urp up the hair.

Wait a week or 10 days and feed it a smaller than normal rodent then wait and see. At this point I wouldn't worry too much.
