What do you look for in a chocolate? How do you identify a chocolate? It turns out that the picture I posted above is not the same snake but he did send me another picture that "might" be a chocolate.

    I hate craigslist!

A higher than normal ratio of dark pattern to light (look at the width of the dark pattern on the sides compared to the width of the light).

Darker than normal in both the dark and light pattern areas (dark should have an iridescence).

Sometimes faded line across the back of the head.

Usually white pixilation in the centers of the dark areas on the lower side (i.e. the "flame" area).

Breeding two of them together and producing a super chocolate! A bit harder to miss those:

It looks more like a Harlequin than a Chocolate. There are a couple different lines of Chocolate. I would have to say it's a normal, and not a Chocolate.
It's a good looking adult Normal for 150.00, providing it is a female. Looks like a good dinker project ! :snake:

My chocolate isn't the nicest out there but she is far darker than that and has plenty of growing left. You should look for the bar on the back of the head and deep rich dark coloring, also their bellies often have a chocolaty tint as well as a busy stomach. My chocolate has a light brown milk chocolate tint on her stomach.

Personally if that is a girl I'd grab it but not because its chocolate because I don't think it is. I'd grab it because its a smoking normal
