    Macklottes are great!
A bit more to handle then a bp..lol
My original female is Lusepher. She came to me a few years back and has been a joy. She is a bit "whippy" but is yet to bite.
Out of the pair we just recieved, the male has bitten. And I wouldn't "hang out" with them the way you may sit and watch tv with a ball python.
Ours are in very large enclosures with a filterd water system. They love their water.
Lusepher is a power house eater. Anything you give her she'll take it. The two new ones are apparently a little tricky. (so says the last owner). Althou with the weight they have I don't see them starving to death anytimne soon.
they can reach a larger size. The two new ones are very long at 9 to 10 feet. (I'm telling you they are ridiculously large).
Lusepher is more "normal" for a macklottes. She is approx 7 to 8 feet and the right weight.
    Thanks

Fluval filtrations!!! Fluvals are used in approx 10 of our setups. Beautiful little canister filters. Basically anything that can hold water, just add a fluval!
Obviosly you do need to change the filter media etc. But they have worked well for us.
My husband has to secure them, but it depends on the water container and the animal enclosure it is going into.
    Thanks
