Damn mouse

Ty for all your answers. The next day the mouse was gone. I dont assume the snake wasn't hungry. I witnesses that he was just too fast until the end. I suppose the mouse eventually got too courageous.

1. Don't leave live food unattended with your snake. You can do a quick google search if you want to see photographic evidence of why that's a terrible idea.

2. Don't 'stun' prey items. Think about if someone running down the street clocked you on the back of the head and you fell down. When you stood up, how much more likely would you be to take a swing at the next person to get in your face?

0.1 pitbull/lab - Cinnamon
0.1 collie/elkhound - Fluffy

one reason why i switched to f/t and all mine went without a problem.

and i said "stun" it, because he doesnt eat dead. i am its cruel. "stunning" is better then leaving it in there alive unattended... still shouldnt do either!

Well...Then google it...You wrote I could find it on google...

At the top of google results was a mouse that killed a venomous viper in asia. Don't be so quick to be defensive simply because people are pointing out a poor practice to you. There are plenty of 1 eyed, mangled, scarred, dead, and too-traumatized to eat snakes out there that haven't had an extensive internet presence helping them to rise to the top of a search engine.

This is advice being forwarded from long time keepers and experts. Learn from it and move forward appropriately. Nobody here is judging you or hating on you for leaving the mouse in there overnight. However, nobody is going to 'side' with you about whether or not it's a good practice. It's not. Do as you please, but don't try to argue that what you're doing is the best way to do it.
