After my dad passed unexpectedly in 2010 my mom had to come live with my husband & I. She was used to the dogs & cats that we have but had never interacted with our snakes. At the time we just had a pair of macklotts pythons... then we got into balls. We brought home a dinker girl "Tess" & my mom was enamored with her. So she decided she needed a baby of her own.... enter "Jewel" a pastel male that stole my moms heart. I think having Jewel to snuggle helped my mom through the grief of loosing my dad. 2 years later Mom is on her feet again, living independently and completely ball-crazy. We've grown closer as a family by having such an enchanting hobby to share, and I think my dad would have liked it too.:grouphug:
