However this does give me an excuse to link an article written by Dean Ripa, owner of the Cape Fear Serpentarium, after he was bitten by a Bushmaster and Fatal Attractions contacted him to film an episode "documenting" his experience. It's a good read.

I wish I knew what you look like. It would be interesting to know how accurate this mental image is of you flipping a coffee table and screaming at the tv :)

Dammit. That changes everything! Oh well, it's still funny! If you have to have the same scene playing on a loop in your brain, this is the one to have!

I just finished reading this article. Talk about disappointment! Especially all the stuff about Winston! Man. Well, I've come this far so I'll finish the whole season, but it just isn't going to be the same.

    Ruiner!

Has anyone looked at Ripa’s web page?
    http://www.capefearserpentarium.com/
At the bottom of the home page he invest a significant amount of time and energy into to educating viewers about the U.S. Government’s efforts to poison us all through the use of something called Chemtrails. Somehow this is related to the white vapour trails one sees behind passenger jets and the like. Sorry, but I am finding it hard to take this man too seriously. While you certainly can’t believe everything you see on TV, the same can be said for someone’s rant on their own web page.

I do watch the show, but don't consider it 100% factual. I see it as a mix, some where in between. I do not believe the show paints all animal keepers the same way (though there is more slant for some animals, such as big cats and bears, over others), but the show DOES put a very strong focus on some of the dumb things people do. The problem is, they are focusing on the accidents that happen with exotic animals, rather than the "normal" pets, since that's what will get ratings (who cares if someone's golden retriever eats their face off? everyone wants to hear about the tiger that escaped, scared people, and then got shot to death). The truth of the matter is, some people shouldn't keep animal, regardless WHAT that animal is. There ARE some animals that are more dangerous than others, and some animals require a certain kind of people to keep them (not just keep the animal alive and thriving, but also keeping safe from the animal). There is no denying that. But the tv program does sensationalize it, and in this day and age, it is that sensationalization that sells, so that's what they'll keep putting out. Until the general public as a whole starts demanding truth, tv programs will continue to be sensationalized.

The first episode didn't even tell how lizard boy died. He could have had some unknown heart condition and the lizards just used it as an opportunity.
