questions about hides.

I have a couple of ball pythons that will not use a light-colored hide. I tried to use little cool-whip containers with entrances cut into them. My snakes would not go into them. But, when I exchanged them for a black take-out container, they immediately went into them. It could be that a white hide isn't dark enough to make them feel secure. Some aren't that high maintenance, some are.

i got those two small hides and it appears to be loving it... no longer is he searching around.. he moves onto my hand himself when i place it in the cage though so im goingto assume thats a good thing
