    Sounds like you're doing pretty good so far. Just get the humidity up there to avoid another bad shed and you should be ok. Cove the screen with foil to help with this.

    If anymore soakings are ever needed, only put the snake in enough water to come halfway up its sides in a Rubbermaid or Sterelite storage tub with lid. This way the snake won't drown (yes balls can drown), and it won't be fighting to keep its head out of the water.

    Really just putting it into a wet, tied pillow case inside a tub for awhile works just as well if not better than a soak.

    One more thing, you didn't rescue anything. You bought a BP from a chain store. They immediately ordered another BP to fill its place. You simply proved to them that their reptiles do sell despite their lousy conditions, and lack of proper equipment available to care for them. I just had to put that out there. It's not a rescue unless it came from a private owner who no longer wanted it or couldn't care for it anymore. Or a rescue organization.
