Sorry about the photos I know they look like crap but "thank-you android". After getting home and getting them set up and being new years well ,no pictures until this morning. I will get better ones but did not want to take them out this morning. I have a few questions, as you can see in the one picture the plexi front is broken on the one cage. The male did not like being seperate from the female so I was told and broke out. I did not know this before I got there. They have been housed together since small and was informed they like it that way. Was also informed they had not eaten in 3 weeks. Now I am not complaining just giving you the situation. The couple I bought from are long time breeders and their house is full of all different reptiles and seem like great people who do alot of rescue work as well. I fed both snakes last night, jumbo rat each that is why I did not want to take them out this morning. But does any one know if they can be housed together? I was told yes because they have been for so long now. Just looking for more input. They are both huge even though the pictures are decieving, 7ft and approx 30lbs each plus. I have to fix the bottom cage today in order to seperate them if need be. I left their old bedding in for now to reduce stress I hope but am going to switch over to coconut. They are in my living room instead of my reptile room because well they are so cool I want them close. I will put better pics up today once I wake up and get going, but if any one has any advice please feel free to educate me I don't know everything and would like to know more.

Cool snakes. I know a pet store that's only a reptile pet store they keep their two big red tail boas together female is 7 male 5.5 if I member right. They don't seem to have any problems both look very good.

If you keep them together you will likely wind up with babies. I don't know if I am buying the whole male broke out story either. I really doubt a snake could "break out". They should have their own enclosures. I think the only reason you ever see them housed together is because people are too cheap to get them their own cage. Good luck with them, I would separate.

While I agree with you on the whole baby thing, you can see in the pictures where the male broke out of the cage on the bottom. I have no reason to believe that they lied to me about anything. They just had the cages built about a month ago one for each snake so it's not a matter of being to cheap to buy a seperate enclosure for each.
