As long as the screen tops are modified to hold humidity, I don't see why you can't just use the tanks. Especially after 15 years I'd think the BP would get used to the space, and you could decorate it as you like.

Then again, if you put the BPs in the 40 breeders, you have two very nice large tanks for something a bit larger ;) (Pssst! Carpet pythons are pretty cool! And have some arboreal tendencies!)

Re: new member with some enclosure questions.
Thanks for the responses everyone, your information and opinions are very helpful. I have never had any health issues with my snakes other than mites on the oldest one when I adopted her many many years ago. She was also very under weight with all her ribs showing but gained weight quickly and has never looked back:) She does fast more then the one I've had since it was a baby but still eats when shes ready with no problem. I feed live that I prekill to avoid any bites to my snakes.

Tubs do sound appealing but since I only have the two and like the display aspect of a tank I will go with 40 breeders, mainly since I already have one and will just need to buy one more. I will make my own tops framed from 1/4'' angle iron and split the top 50/50 with plexi and screen. I think that should help with keeping humidity in. I will for sure use tubs the next time I adopt/foster an unwanted snake though.

The 75 and 90 gallons will be sold once my new tanks are running, mainly due to reclaiming the room in my small home..haha. I wonder what a 90 or 75 gallon with screen top is worth? I know retail on the 90 was $400 plus back when I got it. I worked it off by helping a friend set up his salt water pet store.
