    i tried again today to keep the cable attached and it just keeps falling. Can i use liquid nails to attach the cable?

    I wouldn't you'll never get it off. I have never had any issues with tapes on PVC,PVCx, roto poyethelene. If the surface is clean and dry there should be no problems it is odd that you have had so many issues. Did you try hot melt? It is regulated right?

    I use electrical tape and have no problems what so ever going on 6 months now. Just be sure to clean the surface as suggested above. Rubbing alcohol works great. I assume it goes without saying this is on a thermostat, because the heat cable can get VERY hot unregulated. The closer the loops are the hotter it gets.
