And maybe this dumbs it down too much but a female banana breeds a normal male and HALF the hatchlings are bananas. Male hatchling breeds normal female and half the hatchlings are female bananas.....

Got it....so where are ALL these females? LOL!!

My friend has a pastel fader coral glow male that he is breeding. He goes by the name Cdavidson9 here. I would PM him.

I produced two clutches this year so, on a small scale, I'm a banana breeder. Both clutches were from female bananas/coral glows and I produced one male and three females.

Since I only produced two clutches most of this is from what I've heard and read:

Females seem to throw normal sex ratios.
A male from a male banana produces mostly male bananas.
A male from a female banana produces mostly female bananas.

There are females out there but many breeders used male maker bananas to make more males as the demand for males has been very high.

I hope that helps and isn't too confusing.

He said, "If you're gonna play the game, boy
You gotta learn to play it right

You've got to know when to hold 'em
    Know when to fold 'em
    Know when to walk away
    Know when to run

Now there are more males around, what do you think will happen with banana/cg prices over the next 12 months?

I really like them, but I could never spend that much on a snake, no matter how much I like it.

I've only been keeping ball pythons for 18 months, so I've never seen how long it takes for prices of top end morphs to come down a bit.
