What kind of camera are you using and in comparison to your animals vs pics how true to life do you feel the pics are? Thank you! I would say these are definitely the most true to life pictures I have been able to capture thus far. I'm really happy with them (aside from Izzy being a fatty on the move, and getting the side of the light tent in the shot)
My set up is this:
Light tent = http://www.amazon.com/CowboyStudio-2...rds=light+tent
2 of 3 lights = http://www.amazon.com/Table-studio-l...d_bxgy_p_img_y
3rd light is a dome light, with a 6500k daylight florescent (from walmart) that clamps on the front and hangs down shining into the tent from above/angled down
Camera is not a DSLR (OMG!!!!!) lol, it's a point and shoot.

I know, that's like a sin...but it works well for my level of needs.
Additionally! (Almost forgot, sorry!)
I always go through my pictures after uploading on my pc and crop them. I use windows photo gallery so it's easy to page through them all and quickly crop. With these pics/this set up, they looked great on the camera, but dingey once I uploaded them. So along with cropping, I clicked the "Auto fix" which brightened the whites. Didn't change the actual snakes very much, but helped with the background not being the crisp white I like. (Yes, I've set the white balance on my camera)
