    Thanks, and as far as tank size goes, 40 is starting to seem a little smaller for everything necessary and room for the snake to roam...

    Glass tanks are less than ideal for Ball Pythons. Glass tanks Don't hold heat or humidity in very well and since all sides are transparent can stress a BP.

    I use 48" x 24" x 12" ( L x W x H) PVC reptile cages made by a company called Animal Plastics to house my BP's. They hold in heat and humidity in very well and are only transparent on the front so the snake feels more secure.

    The other option is tubs, but they require that you heat a room to 75-82 degrees year round.
