I have seen babies born in July that were 200g now, my girl hatched July 10th and she is 387g empty taking small rats every 5 days (50-60g).

Every snake grows differently, so you can't really estimate well off of other peoples snakes. That being said, fresh born hatchlings can usually take hopper mice without issue. So she might be growing slower based on the 7day/small prey diet.

I'm sure she will start growing like a weed once you get her on the bigger prey :) welcome and Congrats on your baby!

Mine was born on August 12, 2012 and she's at 280 grams. But she's a very good feeder. Gets hungry every three day but I feed her every 4-5. Unless she's REALLY hungry then I have to feed her.

Yes, since all snakes grow at different rates, it's impossible to say for sure if yours is too small. However, the good thing is you have now found one of if not the best site on the internet about ball pythons. We love nothing better than introducing someone to the joys and trials of ball python ownership. You'll have your ups and downs, same as the rest of us do. Except here no one will think you are crazy for posting pictures of your ball doing the crazy, cute things all ball pythons do.

We are always happy to answer questions and give advice, whether you want the advice or not sometimes. :P
