don't sweat it.. Just use the aspen until you run out. It should last you a good long while. Then when you're ready to do a complete bedding change out, get some cypress and try it out. Me personally, i switch back and forth between newspaper, paper towels, and cypress. Depending on what i have at the moment, who is eating, who is breeding, etc..

When I made the cypress reply it was because you wanted to most your substrate. If the humidity is okay without misting the substrate aspen is great. I used it for a kind time and still use it for my Hoggies and sand boas.
