I love akitas but I don't think I could deal with the hair shedding.

I had adopted an Akita once, had her for a couple months. She got loose and almost killed the neighbor's dog. So I have her to my cousin, who is a truck driver, and is now on the road all the time. She is the only solid black Akita I've ever seen.
