New hatchling rack

    Good to know, about the 1/4 inch. Im thinking about next summer making 20 tub hatchling rack to use, but still up in the air about about which tub i want to go with(v-18/6qt/12 qt). I might go 1/2 inch since i might make it pretty tall and possible 3 wide, just have to find a local place that sell pvc:(. How heavy is it about empty?

    Did you cut it yourself? Or did you have someone cut it for you? Pre-cut? I'd like to do a PVC rack next, but I don't know where to get the stuff cut.. Home depot did a crappy job cutting my melamine last time.

    It is really light. Easily moved by one person. I cut it all myself with a circular saw. A table saw would have made it a lot easier and more square. I got a little out of square

    Gotcha! There are table saws at the wood shop at my school, but I'm certain I don't have authorization to use it since I am no longer a student :( Guess I will have to pay some kids to make some cuts for me :P

    how much room should you leave between the top of the tub and the bottom of the shelf? i just built one and left about 3/16th of an inch between and havent put the heat tape in yet. will that be enough?
