I agree but I have to say that it is very impressive and unusual to hear a spouse say this! Every spouse that I know is always extremely butt-hurt when their husbands are happy about an upcoming deployment. I had a fellow FSO back at Carson that didn't get to come on this deployment, and he made the mistake of telling his wife that it was unfortunate that he was going to be staying back with the joes to be the battery commander instead of deploying. He was in the dog house for a day or two because of that one!

I told you I wanted to go into Counseling so I could kick wives into shape.. In my eyes, yes it sucks to have your love and partner gone for extended periods of time in ridiculous amount of danger...however, to me if I married a man with the courage and love of that level of sacrifice, its not my position to get in the way.. I have so much respect for that and I can't love the person for that passion and kick them down and make life miserable when it comes time to do their job! I am here to support in his job, danger, distance or whatever because that's what makes him him and that's a part I love which means I support the difficult parts as well. More wives need to get it together and put on their big girl panties, and stop being so damn selfish! *steps of soap box*
