Were his eyes cloudy this morning?

I'll bet you'll find the skin on Saturday or so.

That's what I'm thinking, Marla. If the eyes were cloudy this morning, he'll probably shed in a couple of days.

Amber has about a 5-6 day shed cycle. Eyes start cloudy for 2-3, clear up around the 4-5 day, and the skin is gone in about 10 mins of flipping out in the cage on the 6th day. She crawls out of the old stuff in a hurry once it actually starts coming off.

Yep. I generally see it take a couple or few days between the eyes clearing up and the actual shed.

Speaking of sheds, Hanover and Sir Not both shed yesterday and both had perfect sheds except for the last 1/2" to 1/4" of their tails. Obviously to get the heads good, the humidity had to be good, so I thought it odd that they both wanted to hang on to the last little bit of shed.

The snake just cleared up, they look like they shed already, but the skin is getting ready to come off. After the EYES clear up the snake will useually shed within 24 hours.

The same thing happened with my water python, Marla. I gave him a little bath, which he loved, and then he was very patient while I rolled the last little bit off for him.

Ah, the kids and their baths! :lol: I love how Snyder enjoys hers, and hope the others will get more comfortable with it as well. The new guy is definitely enjoying being able to soak in the humid hide, and would probably enjoy a bath if needed.
