Naw, no pastel there. Just a nice big normal somebody paid too much for once upon a time.

ya he is for sure a regular looking at him closer. He shed not to long ago I cleaned all the skin out of the cage when I got him. I changed out what was Sand and hay and put in some Aspen and then made him a Hiding spot out of a rubbermade bin and cutting an access point. He loves it in there. Getting humidity up what are some tips? the cage is full screen on top its a 30 gal. I have now covered half the screen with aluminum foil. Then I have a small under tank heater its a pad thats like 6X4 and then a red heat light above on screen. Any additional tips would be great. We had the previous owners feed him a day before we got him because we did not want a huger strike right off. They had him eating in a seperate box that they gave us I to will be doing that because he is used of it. They said he eats thawed frozen. My main concerns is his super dry skin. He is super dry.

Few questions:
Is your UTH controlled by a thermostat?
What are you using to determine temperature (digital or analog thermometers)
Using a tank means humidity is going to be a pain. Try a different substrate (like cypress mulch) that will hold in moisture.
That heat lamp is also going to destroy your humidity.
What are your room temperatures like? It might be easier to switch to a Rubbermaid tub setup. No matter what I did, I could never keep the humidity up to levels that they need.
If you're set on the tank setup:
-Use a large water bowl and have it ontop of your UTH.
-get some plexiglass to place under the lid and drill some holes in it for ventilation
-wet a towel and cover 3/4th of the cage
-switch to a wetter substrate
-mist often
If he seems dry, he could be dehydrated. Or it could be stuck shed. You said you picked up shed pieces, so if that's true it's possible there's still some shed left on him.
I'd suggest letting him soak in the bathtub for a few minutes with a wash cloth to crawl in. It should help remove the stuck shed.
Also, feed him in his enclosure. Removing him to feed is stressful, and you're more likely to get bit if you try moving him while he's in "feed" mode.

I am using analog therm. the UTH is just a plug in in a few days im going to get a better one. I do mist in there alot and during the day when he is in asleep I put a moist towel over the top of the cage I keep that room around 70 degrees. His cage is staying right around 85 under lamp and then 75 on cold side of cage. I will try the plex glass thats a great idea. Tomorrow I will let him soak its not shed at all its just him being super dry. Im also going to get something to let me know humidity levels in there. For now I will keep misting was thinking is it wise in the hide to mist it good under there? its where the UTH is.

You can get sphagnum miss and put it in the hides to help with the humidity. I would bump up the cold side to at least 78. Putting a wet towel on the top of the tank does wonders. My humidity is always at 51% and I mist like once every other day to bump it up to 55% since I have a heat lamp too

Analog thermometers/hygrometers arent always reliable. I'd switch to digital, or buy a heat gun to monitor temps.
If your UTH is plugged directly into the wall, that means you have no thermostat. Thermostats are VERY important when using heating devices. Your UTH can easily reach temperatures that can/will BURN your snake.
I'd suggest you pick up a hydrofarm (cheaper) or a herpstat(best) to regulate your UTH.
