    The shelter knows, its all local people who know that I have snakes & know that they're there & besides that the shelter closes at 7 & opens again at 7 tomorrow. When I left there at 6:15 they were both warm as could be and in their hides asleep. :rolleyes: oh yeah and they're covered by a blanket in the corner of a room!

    I hope it all works out for you. having your snakes get that cold, you need to keep a close eye on them for R.I.s now. good luck, don

    Yes seconded I not only would watch for RI I might even expect to see it. It may be worth waiting until things get settled and making a vet appointment for cultures to be done. Caught early it is easy to deal with late however is very different.

    Im going to ask a totally stupid question here.......what about snakes in the wild in winter time? They dont have the luxury of heated tanks....Im not being sarcastic honestly I just dont understand the difference????

    Someone else will likely speak to the process that other species of snake undergo in places that actually get cold. It's pretty cool.
