I was only asking because somewhat faint red spots or lines down the ventral (belly) scales can be indicative of sepsis (or blood poisoning from an infection). That's not to say that the infection was respiratory in nature necessarily, but that was my first guess since I had that happen to my first snake when she came down with viral pneumonia. Perhaps the poor little guy had something neurological going on. Either way, terribly sorry for your loss. I was devastated when my first BP had to be put to sleep, but at least I knew it was coming. I can't imagine the shock of losing one so suddenly, especially one so young. My condolences and I hope you are able to find a good resting place for him soon. :(

Before you bury an exotic you need to be sure it is legal. In my area it is very illegal to bury a exotic animal. Freezing actually buys some time but destroys the ability for a necropsy. If you are going that way you need to get it to a vet any vey to have it prepared. The methods for how to deal with beloved pets whom have passed in my area some are cremated (there is a facility here) and the ashes are returned, I have one friend whom has poured concrete around an animal. (placed and arranged in a small box filled with concrete and then when set cast into a larger box (2 inch wall thickness everywhere)

With as many laws being re written (especially in the USA) violating one could have a bad impact on all of them. Dogs have been known to dig up things freshly buried... horrible no matter what the situation.

    Sorry for your loss...
