Yes the snake from the OP is a fire. Maybe not an outstanding one, but a fire nonetheless. Given some good care, I bet it will be a very lovely animal. It is certainly better quality than some I have seen. You can tell at first glance it's a fire if you know what you are looking for. Or at. I have two, I've seen many more, and I knew instantly that was a fire.

The mojave is definitely a mojave.

The first picture, I'm not sure. There's a pretty nice bit of blushing on the head there... what do they say, yellowbellies have a "Y" on their heads? Better head pics and a belly pic would help.

Maybe not a great one, but probably worth the 100$ being asked for it. It's a 2011 male. I'm gonna start looking for a female mystic now. MYSTIC POTION here I come!(in a year or two)

I would disagree, especially if you are looking to breed. There are so many mojaves out there right now you wouldnt pay too much more for a higher quality one, especially a male. Youll thank yourself later when youre not having to sell you babies for next to nothing to compete with all the high quality animals out there.

Both aren't great examples of their morphs. I wouldn't pass on that mojave. If you're going into breeding, then you want to find the best looking snakes you can. Not necessarily the best prices.
Good examples will produce beautiful offspring. Ugly ones will just muddy up the gene pool and make ugly babies....

A little off topic but do you practice quarantine?

Just because they come from the same place, doesn't mean their wont be issues.

What if after your first purchase the breeder got mites or his snakes got sick? Well, you just infected both by placing them together.

Quarantine is an important procedure. Then again, when you only have 2 snakes, it might not seem that important ;)
