A Lucy is s super form of the Platinum complex (Mojaves, Lessers, Butters, Russo). You breed to a normal you will just get Lesser's & Mojaves. The BEL is worth more than either one. You would be better off breeding it to another Lesser or Mojave. At least that way you would have a chance to get more BEL's.

I was going to suggest the same site. Love playing around with the wizard and the pictures are great.

Breeding a mojave/lesser BEL X a Lesser or a mojave is not smart.
How will you know which combo the BEL you make is?
Mojave/Lesser BEL's can look as white as a lesser/lesser combo BEL, so what do you tell the potential buyer the snake is if you can't tell.

    So what would you suggest?

It sounds like, and i cant believe nobody has said such yet as I am even often surprised at how quick some are persecuted by some around here. Please forgive me I am not trying to harp on you for being an amateur, i would however like to suggest possibly doing a little more research before making a decision to breed any type of animals. Breeding snakes is a fun but sometimes tedious process, and although it can definetly be done for the joy or to obtain that special morph just cant get your hands on, and a lot of times to make a living, nothing about this post or thread for that matter suggests your representing any of the positive aspects of breeding that we all enjoy.

I don't see why you couldn't breed a lesser/mojo BEL to a mojo, since super mojaves have distinctly different heads than lesser/mojo BELs.

And I second the concern to the OP to do some more research on BPs before deciding to breed.

Personally, I would suggest anything thats not part of the BEL complex including normals. I think a BEL is a great morph to breed if you already have a female normal. Getting a clutch from a normal that is 100% morphs would be great!

I wasn't the the person who posted the original thread. My question "what do you suggest"? was asked because he stated it was not smart to breed a BEL back to a mojave or Lesser so I wanted him to explain. Your response was actually my thoughts so I was wondering where it got that it wasn't smart.

I know. I was offering my suggestion. :) I do agree that breeding to a lesser would be far too likely to produce unidentifiable lucys.

So what is the best use of a breeding BEL?
