Just checked on the happy couple and the female actually has her tail in the water bowl. Do you think she is trying to hide it from the male? Today is day three so he comes out tomorrow anyway. My other couple is happily locked, yeah.

This is getting a bit crazy. This female is in shed again????? She already shed once this month. Yesterday she is in deep blue again?

Well I would love to believe that but she took a 60 gram live rat from me on Thursday (that is after refusing a 140 gram f/t rat). I thought they did not eat after ovulation? Confused.

The one rule of breeding ball pythons is....they don't always follow the rules.

My mojave female ate a small rat for me on Sunday, and laid on Tuesday.

My normal girl stopped eating before she even developed follicles.

One girl went 47 days after prelay shed before she laid.

    One went just 19.

Just be patient my dear. They do these things on their schedule, not ours.

And you want to talk about huge, this is a pic of my normal Akashi when she ovulated:

She laid 12 eggs for me.

I have never had an adult snake shed more than once a month, and that was on a very heavy feeding schedule.
I suggest looking for mites in those water bowls...:snake:

Absolutely no mites. I am very meticulous about parasites.

She is only eating about every 10-14 days now (even though I offer every 5-7) anywhere from a 60-140 gram rat. She is about 2 years old and about 2000 grams.
