I like a few albino and ax combos but dont have a huge desire to own any. (Except for an albino spinner :) ). On the other hand i love pieds. So albino or ax pieds would be cooler imo.

Visually Albino Pieds are more stunning in my opinion. They have that "WOW" effect. I would welcome one in my collection any day.

Snows don't have that same visual effect as an Albino Pied, but still a great animal for breeding. But as I'm not that interested in Axanthics, I'm not interested in snows.

If you enjoy white snakes with red eyes, I suggest Cherry Bombs, Polar Balls, and Blizzard Balls. I find that their genetics are far superior breeding wise than snows.

I will definitely have to check out cherry bombs, I think I have seen the other two but I'll go get a refresher. Ya when I was looking at the axanthics at the show they were trying to see if I was interested in the snow project but tbh not really, I just really like axanthics and axanthic combos overall. My goal eventually is a Black Axanthic, though I know it is a different morph from the axanthic I am hoping to come close if i can get a black pastel or eventually super black pastels into it. the het albino for me was just a nice little extra since I wanted the axanthic anyways. Trying to make use of all my genes heh.

Oh btw since I know you're in davis, do you know any good feeder breeders around the area? I really don't have any as the one I was talking to flaked on me.

    Sounds like a good plan.
Yeah. I can recommend a great guy in Sac. I'll PM his contact. He lives by UCD med center. He breeds balls too. His feeders are top quality and for great prices.

Unless you want mice, Davis has nothing. I breed my own rats, but it's just enough for my snakes. But I usually go to the guy above when I'm having a dry spell of feeders.

Wow thanks for being so helpful! I'm not sure if you have PM'd it already but i'll definitely check him out this week for feeders if I can!

I also want to breed my own rats but then read ASF's are illegal here :( Maybe a small scale rat colony sometime in the future year or two...How much was it to setup for you?

Reading these comments, I wonder how many people have seen a snow. far from just a white snake. still not as drastic as the pied, but still how is electric looking side pattern not cool as heck...

of course they don't keep it into adulthood but I still love it.

I saw two at the expo last weekend, they are indeed electrifying! they don't do it for me as much as my lil pied girl though! One thing I am not sure about on her though is her orange, she has a good amount of orange to her and especially towards her outer pattern really bright orange...I am hoping she holds that somewhat into adulthood. I don't see it hardly ever on older pieds though so I am kinda skeptical. She was sired by a pastel pied, and since she arrived I've had my suspicions if she may be pastel also. I was looking around at the expo for similar qualities in pieds and didn't see ANY. I have seen a couple stellar looking pieds on forums and classifeds that had similar orange but in person, the rings on mine sorta stand out to me.

Albino pied has my vote, snows just don't do it for me unless they are lavender snow :gj:

The only snow worth making are the lavender snow like I said before and the caramel snow. I love axanthics but regular albino just doesn't look that good with axanthic. Have you thought about making true ghosts (hypo axanthics)? Or just get anything het axanthic and breed it to your axanthic het albino and have 50% het albino babies as a bonus.

    Ya I've thought about both

    1) True Ghosts has me super excited, especially since it's VPI line. Most likely though, it will come after my albino pied/lightning pied projects since I already sort of have those genes. Nothing ghosty at all over here. Yet.

    2) I don't like Axanthics enough to make just Axanthics, and I also don't really like dealing in 50% hets if I can help it.

    Same goes for the Albinos.^
