I prefer infrared bulbs, blacklights aren't as good in my opinion

    I use this particular bulb:

I use and prefer infrared bulbs personally. Also, I would clean the tank as soon as possible. I hate seeing beautiful snakes in horrible living conditions.

infrared it is - thanks alot!! I am planning on cleaning her enclosure and feeding her today. Also she is shedding kind of patchy, I am trying to get the humidity up some in her enclosure and I misted her last night with some special shed, mist stuff that came with her. Is there anything else that you would recommend as she sheds?

Don't use that special stuff, it can actually clog their pores (not that you would know that necessarily). If you want to help her out then you should just get a tub with air holes and fill it with slightly warm water, only up to about 1/4 of her belly and then just let her sit there for 30 minutes to an hour, according to many people here it works well. I haven't yet had to do anything with it. I think I have that right. Someone might come by and correct me.

Yes, there is no reason to mist with any type of shedding product, just plain old water, if she is in a tank, cover part of it with a damp towel while she is in shed, and just spray the tank inside to get the humidity up, she should be able to get all the shed off herself, if after a day or so she still has some shed stuck on her then you can put her in a damp snake bag of pillow case and let her move around in there for a bit, the most important thing to look for is that the eye caps came off and the tip of the tail as well. She may windup having a little shed stuck here and there left over, I would not worry too much about that because once you get the husbandry right, the next time she sheds it will all come off.
