I have it, but it is about the same as the coco peat I use now anyway, it is much more expensive.

Well I took a good piece of acrylic off of the cool side vent. Humidity is still 74-75%. I replaced the substrate with a new bag of cypress. The amount of ventilation is the same if not more than a PVC snake cage so I hope it is enough.

I hoping the will settle down overnight. I aiming for a constant 60%. It think this is possible. If it doesn't work may try some aspen bedding. I didn't really want to because I hear it gets moldy easily. Anyone use aspen with a good 60-65% humidity?

Is 70-75% going to be bad for her?

No that is no problem. What is the room rh? I am guessing it is close to the enclosures rh. The problem with humidity and warm temps as well as low ventilation is it grows things bacteria mold ect. Some call it the Petrie dish syndrome. There have been posts of all the snakes in a rack having RI and there were no air holes at all. With enough air flow this high levels of nasty things doesn't build up it is carried away.

Re: Humidity levels and substrate choice.
It has been sitting at 79-80% for the night. My rh was around 40% before but I haven't checked in a while. If the vents are as big as standard PVC enclosures is that enough air flow? Also there are sliding glass doors and air gets through the gap between the panes of glass. It is a 4'x2'x2' cage so more air than a typical PVC cage and most rack designs I have seen.
