someone told me to up his feeding. instead of 1 hopper. offer him another one.

It depends on the snake. Some go every week, but most babies will go once a month. All mine go once a month and they unload it all! As for feeding, the general rule of thumb for babies is that you feed them 10-15% of their body weight. In order to do that, you need a scale. but as long as the prey item is as big around as they are, you should be fine.

Fuzzy mice is colubrid food, hatchling BP are started on hopper and quickly move to adult mice.

Shed are growth related young BP will shed more often than adult however if underfed shed will not occur at the same frequency than the average animal.

Defecation depends on the snake itself, feeding frequency, prey size...young animal utilize most of the prey item for their growth leaving very little waste....in other word there is no set schedule when it comes to defecation it can be WEEKS before it happens.

Conclusion once the animal is be fed an appropriate size prey it will shed and defecate however you will need to feed the correct size, feed a prey equal the girth size of your snake every 5 to 7 days and he should be back on track in no time.
