*FYI* Facebook publicly displaying old private messages on your Timeline!

I went though my whole time line back to the year I joined and it was perfectly fine.

Mine showed up on the right side right under the "2011" / whatever year banner. It said "Friends 2011" and had a list of different messages. This is where all my PMs showed up.

I don't see anything on my fb. Hopefully I didn't miss anything.

I noticed things that appeared private under the "friends" table in 2009-2011, but also seemed more like they were posts/replies to pictures

I can find that area as well, but I only see old wall posts. I think the OP is confused.

Mine were definitely not old wall posts. Most of them were wall posts, but a good bit were not. They were personal PMs including pm's that had personal info in it (like a friend giving me their number, and private conversations regarding our business). Normally I would chalk this up to me not remembering them being wall posts, but some of those I specifically remember about business discussions.

I am not confused. I can assure you of that. My private information was publicly displayed.

I had some pm's from friends 2011 that were showing as well. I assure you, none of them were just wall posts, they were pm's that were not meant to be public. Thank you for bringing this to may attention. I am glad that many of you aren't having this issue, but unfortunately, I am.

Any time you enter information these days you sign off to legal ownership of it. It's something you really don't think about most of the time and has become pretty normal. When you download an app and accept permissions you let them have access to all kinds of info about yourself. This isn't normally an issue but it comes down to only giving permissions to people you trust.

Over time I have lost all trust in Facebook.

Where have you guys been finding your PMs? I just want to make double check.
