Re: Holy Galaxies batman! Take a look at this picture :O
I live in an RV in the woods on top of a hill in a pretty small suburb town. So, some nights I'll take my telescope up on top of the RV and check out the stars. I've got one of the digital ones as well, but I just never got around to figuring out how to program the freaking thing. I need to go to my local astronomy people and get them to help me out (we've got an astronomy society that's set up an observatory within a nearby state park that I used to work at).The math and precision calculations that people make to figure out this stuff about stars and our universe, even just to set up a digital telescope, just absolutely fries my taters. I'm a liberal arts guy. I think in words, not numbers. The pictures that come from outer space though - I think we can all agree that it's pretty freaking amazing.

The scale of the universe has tripped me out for as long as I can remember. And learning in detail about how cells function while taking Biology 111 this semester has taught me that the other side of the scale spectrum is equally as trippy!
