I have been hoping all week to get a call because I don't think I could keep my mouth shut at where I work now if I had to continue. People are just to lazy and expect me to do their job too.

That is such a HUGE and awesome step for you, Kevin! I'm so happy to hear the job hunt went fantastically. With how you described your last job... Gosh, I can't imagine anyone with any self respect working there for very long. You are too good for that.

 A nice fresh start, more security in your position and better people to work with (because I don't think you could experience worse than you had at your last job).... Sounds like you're heading in the right direction!

Should be so much easier to work with day to day stuff when you're not stressed out because of your job. So that's just great. Keep us posted on how it is when you start! I'm definitely curious.

    Congrats! :D

Thanks so much Danielle! My girlfriend just got a job too, they called her today and told her they wanted her. It's at the same hospital, same hours as the one I got, but different wings of the hospital. So at least we can carpool the days we both work! She said they are starting her off at $12 and some change, she gets 13 pto days to start and a bunch of other perks, but I didn't get to hear them because my boss was mad that I was outside talking to her when she dropped my lunch off to me earlier.

I can't wait to say I'm putting in my 2 weeks notice. I haven't yet because I haven't got the call like my girlfriend got today, they told me I got it but I'm supposed to get a call to go over the logistics which is what I'm waiting for before I tell my supervisor.

It's going to feel soooooooooooo nice to shake this rat off my neck.

I'll also be doing my coworkers a favor and reporting my boss to the labor board....my farewell gift to him. ;)

All of that is fantastic news! You guys are going to end up doing just fine with everything falling into place like that. Might be hard for a bit, but by golly, that'll be SO much better than where you are now. Your boss sounds like a royal turd. I'm so happy you're going to report him. And with you quitting as a result of his behavior, you will definitely be a vital aspect to giving them feedback about the situation. If you felt it was imperitive for you to quit because you just couldn't handle it... That's a huge red flag. I hope that goes well! I honestly wouldn't tell your boss anything about where you are going. If he is a piece of work like I think he is, I wouldn't put it past him to make phonecalls and complaints about you to your new place. Honestly. I had a boss that did that after they found out where I started working after I quit with them. My current boss was amazing and knew that guy was just being ridiculous, but it's scary to think that some people take it so personally.

Definitely keep this going. Look how thinsg change in such a short amount of time. That's fantastic.
