Thanks, Chris. i think i need to just put the whole house in a steel cage with two-stage entry/exit! I've added a low-tech lock system to Sir Not's cage and his brother Bo Peep is in a locked bin as are the other boys, so Snyder is the only bp who can escape at this point, and I'll be fixing that soon. :) Jezebel is our black cat, and I'm sure she'll be home tonight. Here she is, watching the geckos:

I used to keep rats when I was younger and we had escapees all the time. One was gone for three months, then one day she was just sitting in top of the cage visiting her family, waiting to be let back in. She let me pick her up and stick her back inside, lol. They're funny little creatures!

    Raj, no! Thank goodness. :)

Lindsay, that's funny. I think this is my first rodent escapee ever, now that I think about it. I'd much rather have one of these guys loose in the house than a feeder mouse, tho.

I've had a zillion rodent escapes... I got my first rat because the cat got my hamster, someone talked my sister into getting a rat because they're so much nicer. My first pet rat, Camilla, used to get out of her cage and get in my bed with me like a puppy, it was crazy. I finally ended up giving in and letting her sleep with me! I was maybe six or seven at the time. The cat finally got her when she tried to get in my mom and dad's bed after I had her for a few years :( Since then I've had 32 pet rats total (16 at one time). I feel bad keeping dead rats in my freezer, but I'm more of a snake person now, lol.

That's so cute that she slept with you! Adrian ended up having to put Punkin in the bathroom every night because she gets bored and makes noise in the middle of the night. That's sad that she climbed in with the cat, though. Not as smart as she thought she was, i guess. I kept mice as a teenager then had a boyfriend with pet rats then got my own pair of rats when I got married a year later. Then we bred mice to feed our first BP, and now the kids have pet rats. So I've done pretty good for escapees up til now. i can't imagine having 16 rats, though. That's a bit much for me!
