    I don't know how safe neosporin is to ingest. Your rat will lick it off. You don't want to keep using Hydrogen Peroxide because it will inhibit healing (it kills healthy cells along with bacteria.) Using it to clean the wound out the first time is fine however.

    Huh. Maybe i just didnt notice. Ive had ingrown toenails removed before and once i got home and removed the gauze i poured it right into the open/semi open wound to clean it. To me it felt cold but like didnt really burn. Thanks alot, now next time i get a wound im gunna be distracted trying to decide what the hydrogen peroxide feels like, ill probably bleed out in the mean time lmao.
