Atreyu (5 years) is on his fast again...he did the same last year. He went 5 months last winter...and is at another 5 months now. When he is eating, he doesn't like a rat with any color.

Now Bastian, the baby (9 months), hits everything and anything that comes his way. He doesnt care what color it is. He just wants to EAT! Now watch that change next winter....

Well Monty still hasn't eaten for me after about 5 weeks.) I tried again last night.) I've kind of gotten used to the idea and stopped freaking out over it. I've done everything I can to get his set-up just right. So I figure the move to a new home got him into a fast and he'll eat again when he's ready. Oh I will rejoice when that day comes. Trust me, you'll all hear about it. One question though, do you guys think I should still keep trying to feed him every week or wait every 2 weeks?

Ive never had any trouble, even if i fed 2 or 3 mice at a time.(a rare event)but i think i space the feedings out more than most.At least a week usually,if not a bit longer.

Gen, it wouldn't hurt him to wait two weeks before trying again...just to see if that extra time without being disbturbed is what he needs to finally feel settled in.

I've had mine for about a month, and he eats live (we're working on stunned for now), and I have not had a problem with him at all. In fact he ate for me the night we got him. He was acting hungry, and the pet store said go ahead if he wants it.

i think i helped way to much with shed and stressed sage out and i made to many feeding attempt to close together if your snake doesn't eat wait another week don't try that night or the next day it will just stress out the snake even more.
