As long as the graphics are somewhere on the internet where you can plug the adress in you are good to go. Won't work from local directories on your PC.

(edit: hehe and I hope you are an owner of one of those wicked looking leaf-tail geckos :P)

if you go to the general forum there is a sticky on Avatars it helped me a lot! It's a bit tricky the easiest way I've found was using a photo gallery on this very site! check out the sticky though that should help.
    oh and Welcome you too!!

There are SOME places on the Internet where you can host images, but they won't let you link to them remotely from other sites. Geocities/Yahoo, for instance. You can put links to the images, but you can't post the image itself, except within their own programs. So those would not work for an avatar. Like Jonah said...the simplest way to go about it is to set up an album here.

I believe photobucket.com allows image hosting with remote linking capabilities.

Welcome to the group. I got my first BP back around September of last year, and now I'm up to three of them. They can be very addicting. :)

One piece of very difficult to keep advice: Now that you've brought home your new friend, give him or her a week or two to settle in before handling them any more than necessary. Ball Pythons, especially, are difficult to keep that advice with, as they're such mellow and personable snakes, but even they will settle in better and with less stress if you don't disturb them any more than you have to until they get used to their new home.

I just brought home my third one yesterday, and even with two others I can socialize with, it's still hard to leave her in her new home instead of bringing her out to get better acquainted. In the long run, though, the patience pays off with a healthier, happier snake.
